Our Mother Earth, with all her wonderful facets, is very close to my heart for many reasons, and I live in great humility for her and orient my lifestyle toward this attitude. I try to express this humility in my own being and actions.

For me, water is not a material resource, but a being, my teacher and the creation of all things that surrounds us and endows us with beauty and abundance. If we see water not just as a commodity, but as a teacher and look closely, listen to the water – both inside and out – then it has a direct influence on our thinking, our decisions and therefore also on our lives. Then we meet what gives us life every day with love, gratitude and humility.

I am deeply committed to raising awareness about water issues and I implement what touches me personally. In doing so, I follow my intuition, always guided by water.

Because the way we treat ourselves and our earth socially, politically, economically and ecologically touches me deeply in my heart and makes me active.

My Life Flow So Far

As a bicultural person, I carry both Armenian and German culture within me.

For around 15 years, I have been actively engaged in water protection—today as a freelance water ambassador, artist, and futures practitioner. My work connects political engagement with education and art. I combine political activism with education, artistic practice, and yoga. Rather than working within clearly separated disciplines, I move in cycles in which embodied practice, social processes, and ecological interconnections are deeply intertwined.

Since 2017, I have been an active member of the international civil society initiative Blue Community. In 2022, I mentored the Youth Council of Neustrelitz through a successful process in which the city officially committed to the principles of the Blue Community. For this achievement, the Youth Council was awarded the Environmental Prize of the Parliament of Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania.

In 2012, I had the opportunity to accompany the Indigenous Fulniô community in Brazil during the Rio+20 conferences and to co-create the accompanying cultural program together with a cultural organization. This intense exchange had a lasting impact on my life and laid the foundation for my first climate activist ideas.

While studying Sociology and Cultural Anthropology at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, which I successfully completed in 2015, friends and I founded the initiative aworldness—a wordplay combining awareness and world, standing for greater mindfulness toward our shared environment. For three years, the initiative was active in protecting “Mother Earth” in Mainz and later in Hamburg.

After completing my studies, I moved to Berlin, completed a Federal Voluntary Service (Bundesfreiwilligendienst) at the Freilandlabor Britz, and was subsequently employed there as an environmental educator. In this role, I developed and led educational programs on Tempelhofer Feld.

From 2017 to 2022, I worked as a project manager at a tip: tap e.V., where I led the education project Wasserbildung im Gepäck (“Water Education on the Go”) and developed the Water Suitcase, which received a UNESCO award in 2022/2023.

In 2019, with the support of a grant from the Stiftung Naturschutz Berlin, I was able to bring a long-held dream to life: the art installation plapla! plastik und plankton—a walk-in whale made of plastic waste. It was first exhibited in front of the German Bundestag and subsequently toured Germany for five years. The project was supported by architect Eduardo Conceico and Anna Weitritt.

In 2021, I began the part-time Master’s program Education – Sustainability – Transformation at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, which I successfully completed in 2023. My focus was on societal transformation and education for sustainable development. My thesis explored the topic “Water as a Change Agent?! To what extent can the characteristics of water be used to communicate transformation processes within organizations?”

During my studies, Marie Feyerabend, Mara Urich, and I developed the Regenbank—a project that creatively activates rainwater. Its guiding motto is “Rain in your brain.”

In 2023, together with fellow water enthusiasts, we co-founded the non-profit organization carewasser.org.

In 2025, Kathrin Mendler, Fabian Ritter, Daniel Falk, Felicitas Seyffert, and I received the Social Art Award for the Aquatopia performance. We were selected from 920 applications across 70 countries. The clip “The Water,” produced by Daniel Falk and based on my texts, was screened at COP25 in Brazil.
